I grew up in a small South Texas town near the border, where community shaped everyday life. My mom immigrated from Portugal when she was 12. My dad is a first-generation Mexican American. At home, we spoke English — and like many second- and third-generation families — my Spanish is conversational, learned through lived experience more than formal lessons.

The border never felt like a dividing line. It felt like a blend — of language, music, values, and worldviews. That upbringing taught me how to feel comfortable in multiple environments, how to listen before speaking, and how to build trust with people who see the world differently.

Those lessons became the foundation of how I lead.

My approach is grounded in:

  • Coca-Cola: Advanced through market leadership roles across on-premise, small format, and large format retail. Learned frontline execution and how to drive aligned performance across teams and distributors.

  • Anheuser-Busch: Led commercial strategy in a competitive environment, driving brand growth through retailer relationships, team alignment, and data-backed local activation.

  • McLane Global: Helped reposition the business from transactional food trading to purpose-driven, partnership-based solutions — expanding access to food programs for nonprofits, school systems, and communities across the U.S.

I’m a husband and father first. My best days are usually outdoors with my family — cooking, exploring, learning something new, or building something for the long term.
